As part of the celebration of the thirty-third anniversary of the University of La Serena, the inauguration of the equipment renovation of the University Casinos Department and the remodeling of its facilities took place. The Rector, Dr. Nibaldo Avilés Pizarro, members of the Board of Directors, university authorities, directors and heads of units, and officials of the institution were present at the activity.

In detail, it involves the acquisition of a fermentation chamber for the bakery, a truck for transporting food to the different Casinos of the study house and an industrial mixer, in addition to the perimeter closure with windows of the terrace of the Central Casino.

On the occasion, the general director of Student Affairs, Mg. Miguel Zuleta pointed out that these new equipment and remodeled facilities point to the constant improvement in the quality of food and infrastructure of the Casinos unit. 

''The ULS, in its Casinos unit, has made a great effort to acquire and improve what was previously described, endorsed by the Rector, Dr. Nibaldo Avilés, who has always expressed respect for people and the improvement of student environments' ', said the director of Student Affairs.

For his part, the head of University Casinos, Víctor Olivares, stated that the new machinery benefits all users, "mainly the student community, allowing us to provide a more optimal food service and more welcoming facilities." In addition, he highlighted the constant concern of the DGAE and the authorities towards the unit, in order to provide the necessary support in the different areas of the Casinos' work, and also the high commitment of the officials to comply with the demand of the users. in the different Casinos, allowing us to deliver an excellent service to the University. 

In addition to the acquisition of machinery and remodeling of facilities, other improvement works are added to the Central Casino and Casinos of the Andrés Bello, Enrique Molina Garmendia and Music Department Campuses, along with the re-accreditation and accreditation of the university casinos before the Ministry of health. 

The activity concluded with everyone present taking a tour of the renovated spaces, where they learned about the new equipment and transportation vehicle.
