The meeting, held in the city of Valdivia, was attended by more than 170 representatives from 15 universities in the country.

Between October 15 and 18, the IV Congress of Joint Committees of Chilean Universities was held, a version organized by the Joint Committees of the Universidad Austral de Chile, in conjunction with the UACH Risk Prevention Department and the support of the Chilean Association of security.

The meeting was attended by 10 officials from the Joint Committees of the University of La Serena, led by Luis Paz, president of the La Serena Joint Committee, and Leonan Pinto, president of the Limarí Joint Committee, who were accompanied by Verónica Antiñirre, risk preventionist from the University. institution.

Around 170 participants from 15 universities throughout the country participated in talks given by experts, focused on topics of relevance to university officials, such as: “Ergonomics evaluation”, “Joint Hygiene and Safety Committees: Questions and answers DS40”; “Risk Prevention Management at the UACH”, “Role of Joint Committees in Occupational Health”, “Accident investigation, Teamwork methodology”, “Comprehensive Waste Management on Sustainable Campus”, “Law Application 20.123” and “El Policuidado”.

This Congress, as on previous occasions, seeks to provide a set of tools in the field of risk prevention that contribute to developing a preventive culture in contexts of high vulnerability, and contribute to the construction of an organizational structure that allows, through of the joint committees to incorporate risk management into the institutional culture.
