This presentation includes a large selection of works from the classical repertoire conducted by the great Chilean maestro, Christian Lorca Oyarce, with the special guest being the outstanding Spanish cellist, Elisa Rodríguez Sádaba.

The Dean of the ULS Faculty of Humanities, Cristián Noemi, highlighted the invaluable trajectory of the cast as a professional orchestra formed under the eaves of this house of studies, indicating that “the Symphony Orchestra is inextricably linked to the Faculty of Humanities, they are the expression of one of the most human and beautiful activities that make up the various actions that our Faculty undertakes and carries out; "She has historically been nourished by the effort and talent of many professors of the Department and School of Music (...) Within the framework of our forty-third anniversary, the OSULS gives us a wonderful gift consisting of a great concert for our birthday," he expressed. .

The second presentation of Temp/24 has prepared an exquisite musical program that brings together national and European pieces, starting with the premiere of 'Fantasía Sinfónica', by maestro Fabián Andrades (Chile); the unmissable 'Concert for cello and orchestra', Op. 129 in D Minor, by the prominent German composer and pianist, Robert Schumann; culminating with the 'Symphony No. 1, Op. 11 in C Minor by Félix Mendelssohn, a piece that turns 2024 years old in 200.

The Principal Conductor of the Metropolitan Student Symphony Orchestra, Christian Lorca, revealed some details of what this long-awaited and significant evening will be: “we will have a great concert and of course, the public cannot miss it (...) The repertoire that we will do with the OSULS is loaded with a lot of intensity and dynamism. The first work of contemporary style experiments with colors, with timbre and with the different facets that an instrument group can fulfill. We continue with the cello concert with our beloved Elisa: it is a very beautiful and iconic concert, with a lot of romanticism and the cello shines in all its splendor. And to finish we have Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 1, which was composed when he was very young. It is a very dramatic symphony, with a lot of weight, it also has incredible dynamism in each movement and with a lot of rhythmic, harmonic and timbral richness,” emphasized the guest teacher.

These evenings will also feature the outstanding participation of the performer and teacher, Elisa Rodríguez Sádaba, a Spanish cellist with an extensive and fruitful musical career in which she has shared her role as cello soloists with various chamber groups and orchestras around the world, along with to teaching activities that have led her to teach master classes as a teacher of the instrument. Currently, she performs this function at the Conservatory of the Universidad Mayor and is a professor of the Master's Degree in Musical Performance at the University of Chile.
