Student will participate in international musical meeting in Patagonia

Andrés Lleras Peláez, a Bachelor of Music student with a major in Cello, will be part of the Chelo Fest Patagonia 2024 Festival, which will take place between January 08 and 14, 2024.

The event, of in-person and virtual nature, is organized by the Cultural Group of Patagonia and brings together performers from Chile and abroad who will meet at the Aysén Regional Museum, where concerts open to the community, workshops and guided activities will be held. especially cellist musicians.

The student who is currently studying the fourth level of the degree, stated that after much preparation and effort he managed to be accepted into the contest. “This festival brings together musicians of national and international level, as well as teachers of various nationalities and various institutions. Participation in this festival will allow me to grow in my professional work, improve as an instrumentalist and learn about future study opportunities,” he noted.

Finally, the ULS student added that his attendance at the festival will allow him to generate contacts and expand his professional and educational horizons, in addition to providing knowledge that is difficult to find in other instances that will be fundamental for his development, since for now he is interested in the job of interpreter. as part of an orchestra or historical interpretation that has a more research-related side.

The student, who is currently preparing with the support of academic Monserrat Trujillo, is supported by the General Directorate of Student Affairs and the Faculty of Humanities of the ULS, to organize his trip and stay at the meeting.
