For his part, the Presidential Delegate (s), Galo Luna, thanked the Army War Academy for the successful completion of this Volcano XII simulation “which allows us, as COGRID, to test ourselves in real catastrophe situations that can occur in our region, which have already occurred, and thus see what our capacity is as a State to address urgent needs and protect people's lives."

The exercise was supported by the simulation system for management and training (SIGEN), constructive simulation software from the tactical operational training center of the Chilean Army War Academy.

“It is the Chilean Army that makes constructive simulation software available to the region, designed for disaster training; Therefore, it is the responsibility of the provision of this software, the installation in the facilities provided by the University of La Serena, to put all the regional actors in this catastrophe simulation in this role play,” explained Colonel Marcelo Manríquez, Commander in Chief of the II Motorized Division (s).
