New scientific dissemination program is incorporated into the University Radio programming

“ULS, from the Earth to the Universe” seeks to be a space in which scientific knowledge can be delivered to the community in an entertaining format and in a language that is suitable for audiences far from the world of research.

This week a new scientific outreach program began to be broadcast on ULS University Radio in the Coquimbo Region, coordinated and hosted by Dr. Marcela Gatica Andrades, coordinator of the Scientific Communication Nucleus of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of La Serena.

This program, which is called “ULS, from the Earth to the Universe”, seeks to be a space in which scientific knowledge can be delivered to the community in a pleasant format and in a language that is suitable for audiences far from the world of science. investigation.

The program is broadcast every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 AM on University Radio 94.5 FM, and includes conversations with researchers from various areas, especially from the ULS Faculty of Sciences. The first programs dealt with topics as diverse as Dark Matter and the increase in HIV-AIDS cases that Chile has had recently.
