The Institutional Improvement Plan for Initial Teacher Training (PMI FIP) seeks to generate structural changes and substantial transformation in the educational process of the Pedagogies of the University of La Serena.

The PMI FIP, is oriented with the following essential ideas:

  1. Innovate in the way of linking with the regional school community as a key factor to create learning communities and generate transformational and structural changes in teacher training, producing synergies to improve the quality of education, which is the product of a harmonious relationship between excellence and equity.
  2. Generate fundamental changes in the training of teachers in practice, considering it as the backbone of the training process.
  3. Curricular renewal for the training of professors that responds to an integrated vision and a formative stamp in accordance with the educational model of the ULS.
