The Institutional Improvement Plan for Initial Teacher Training (PMI FIP) seeks to generate structural changes and substantial transformation in the training processes of the Pedagogies of the University of La Serena.

The PMI FIP is guided by the following essential ideas:

1. Innovate in the way of linking with the regional school community as a key factor to create learning communities and generate transformational and structural changes in teacher training, producing synergies to improve the quality of education, which is the product of a harmonious relationship between excellence and equity.
2. Generate fundamental changes in the training in the practice of teachers, considering it as the backbone of the training process.
3. Curriculum renewal for teacher training that responds to an integrated vision and a training seal in accordance with the ULS educational model.
