Master in Computational Mechanics

Objectives:

  • Strengthen and develop the capacities of the participating professionals to:
  • Observe and identify problems associated with industrial processes in the field.
  • Understand the physical nature of engineering problems related to: thermo-fluid-mechanical design, resistance of materials, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and mass.
  • Elaborate the mathematical-physical formulation of a problem and implement computational simulation, to develop and propose in an effective way the solution of mechanical problems in research centers, engineering offices, industries and institutions of higher education.
  • Solve complex engineering problems.
  • Participate in inter and multidisciplinary work teams.
  • Innovate in the solution of problems in the areas: metalworking, mining, energy, environment and food.

Curriculum:

The Master's program, requires passing 5 courses
Compulsory and 1 elective course, approve 2 thesis and thesis seminars.

Modality of Operation

The program is face-to-face.

Classes are given every two weeks, on Fridays from 17: 30 to 21: 30 hours. and Saturdays from 8: 00 to 18: 00 hours.

The subjects are dictated in sequence. Each of them lasts two months, totaling 36 pedagogical hours for each subject. It is estimated that the participant must spend an additional time of 72 additional pedagogical hours for the execution of practical work, projects and review of specialized bibliography, corresponding to 10 weekly chronological hours of dedication.

The program has an online Moodle platform, which will serve as a constant reinforcement for the learning process of students. In this platform the contents of the subjects will be maintained, as well as resources and activities.

Payroll and description of the teaching units that make up the plan, such as: subjects, courses, modules, seminars, practices, and others.

The Master's program requires passing 5 required courses and 1 elective course, approving 2 Thesis Seminars and developing individually and passing a Bachelor Thesis.
