Students must take a photograph that reflects the theme of good treatment, non-violence and respect within the U. of La Serena, with the purpose of promoting them as essential elements for peaceful coexistence and the well-being of all.

For several years, the University of La Serena has promoted the campaign for Good Treatment, which seeks to welcome first-year students in an atmosphere of camaraderie, welcome and respect. This initiative, developed by the General Directorate of Student Affairs (DGAE), has been very well received among students and each year more courses have been added, which through their Student Center and the support of the aforementioned unit , they organize various reception activities that encourage participation and integration.

Within the framework of these actions, the General Directorate of Affairs invites the student community to participate in the 2017 University Reception with Good Treatment Photographic Contest, which seeks to promote values ​​related to the culture of good treatment and non-violence.

Students who wish to participate in this contest must take a photograph that reflects the theme of good treatment, non-violence and respect within the University of La Serena, with the purpose of promoting them as essential elements for peaceful coexistence and well-being. of everyone. In addition, photographs must be tagged with the hashtag #BuenTratoULS and with @uls_dgae (on Twitter) and @dgaeuls (on Instagram).

All regular ULS students of legal age, from all majors and all levels, can participate.

To participate in the contest, it is advisable to follow the profile of the General Directorate of Student Affairs on one of its 2 social networks: Facebook (Dgae Uls), Twitter (@uls_dgae), or Instagram (@dgaeuls). Remember that if the profile is private, the DGAE will not be able to see the photos with which they have participated in the contest. Each participant may upload and/or send as many photos as they wish during the contest period. Only photographs that comply with the contest theme and include the hashtag #buentratouls will be accepted.

The deadline to participate in the contest will end on March 26 at 23:59 p.m.

Awards and Jury

Three prizes of $50.000 will be awarded distributed as follows:

1. $50.000 for the best photograph published according to the rules between March 6 and 12.

2. $50.000 for the best photograph published according to the rules between March 13 and 19.

3. $50.000 for the best photograph published according to the rules between March 19 and 26.

The jury in charge of selecting the winning photograph will be made up of 3 members of the General Directorate of Student Affairs. The evaluation criteria will be quality, creativity and the message that the photograph conveys. The number of interactions of the published photo (likes, comments, retweets, etc.) will not affect the evaluation.
