CONAF is an institution with which I have always had very good relations, I am always collaborating with them, as well as they with anything I require," commented Gina Arancio, who added that the National Forestry Corporation "is an institution that has very simple and eager to know.”

Furthermore, the teacher, who has collaborated with CONAF since 1988, highlighted that this distinction is very important for the herbarium, the University of La Serena, the Department of Biology and the Faculty of Sciences, since “they recognize what is done here, what is known about the vegetation and flora of our country.”

It should be noted that the commemoration event was held at CONAF Coquimbo offices and was attended by the Seremi of Agriculture, Francisco Rojas, the regional director of CONAF, Liliana Yáñez, and current and former park rangers from the region, among other guests.
