University of La Serena presents Web of Capacities in Research, Innovation and Creation

A new platform that systematizes much of the academic work of the University of La Serena, was presented by the ULS to make its research, creation and innovation capabilities available to the community.

The ULS Capabilities Website is hosted on http://vipuls.userena.cl/investigacion/capacidades/ , a platform that seeks to relate academic research and work with the environment in an effective and efficient way.

In this sense, the Vice-Rector for Research and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Eduardo Notte Cuello, details that “the University of La Serena stands out in various rankings within higher education institutions in the quality of scientific research generated by its academics; and this website will allow us to enhance visibility and access to civil society and the productive sector, to our scientific work and to solve problems in the territory.”

In its beta stage, this platform reflects the lifting of the capabilities presented by the institution, work carried out by the Scientific and Technological Managers of the ULS, which will present a constant update, incorporating more and new capabilities.

The Director of Research and Development of the ULS, Dr. Sergio Torres Flores, pointed out that “the capabilities web arises as a way to systematize and make the actors of the territory aware of the capabilities that the ULS has in matters of research, creation and innovation, allowing for closer ties that provide answers to the problems of our territory. In this sense, this capabilities website has been presented in its beta stage, as it will be permanently enriched with information collected by the ULS scientific-technological-cultural managers. In its current version it shows all the work that is done in pursuit of generating new knowledge and linking ourselves with the territory. The invitation is to browse this website and contribute to its continuous improvement.”

The platform has two sections: in the first instance, the Internal Ecosystem is highlighted where you will find downloadable information that will allow you to strengthen the accelerating skills of the work in creation, research and innovation of the entire university community.
