ULS will hold a seminar “Diversification of access and support as critical variables of university retention”

The organization will be in charge of the Support for Student Permanence, Performance, Leveling and Comprehensive Development (APRENDE) program of the University of La Serena.

In addition to the program belonging to the Academic Vice-Rector's Office, the Office of Student Support and Monitoring (OAME) and the General Area of ​​Rights and Duties for Comprehensive Training will be part of the organization of the instance aimed at support and accompaniment teams for students in the higher education.

The objective is to raise awareness about the need to diversify access and support for effective learning, student retention and timely graduation, for which work will be done collaboratively between the participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

In conjunction with the participation of the teams and internal units of our House of Higher Studies, the activity will have the presence of other Higher Education Institutions, such as: University of La Frontera (UFRO), Catholic University of Temuco (UCT), University of Santiago de Chile (USACH) and University of Atacama (UDA).

The thematic lines that this seminar will address will be: Access, Leveling Support, Disability and Graduation Support, which will be presented by the various participating universities, continuing with team work to reflect and establish lines of action regarding these topics.
