Dean of the FACSEJ is unanimously re-elected as President of ASFAE

Currently, ASFAE brings together 33 public and private universities in the country. The election was carried out in the Thirty-Sixth Version of ENEFA, carried out remotely, throughout Chile and abroad, under the slogan “New Social Challenges for Business Schools.

With the full support of the members of the Association of Senior Managers of the Faculty of Administration, Business or Business, ASFAE, Dr. Luperfina Rojas Escobar was once again elected as president of said association for a new period, a vote that was carried out at the National Meeting of Schools and Faculties of Administration-ENEFA 2020, held remotely by the University of Chile and Universidad Católica del Norte.

ASFAE brings together Deans and Directors from the business and business fields, from 33 public and private universities in the country, and aims to create instances that allow the strengthening of scientific development and the generation of knowledge.

In this sense, one of the notable milestones that was carried out during the presidency of Dr. Rojas, is the internationalization of ASFAE through the creation of links with foreign institutions, such as the University of San Juan, Argentina. , and the signing of the cooperation agreement between ASFAE and the Argentine Association of Public Administration.

Another milestone of great importance has been the creation of instances that allow generating knowledge and contributing to the areas of administration, economics and entrepreneurship, promoting, for example, the Multidisciplinary Business Review Magazine (MBR), which is expected to be indexed. in Scielo. In this sense, Dr. Luperfina Rojas points out that “as ASFAE we are committed to continuing to be the beacon of knowledge, contributing with commitment to the business world and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, which has had to face difficult times as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.” .

Regarding the new challenges of ASFAE, framed within the historical context that the country is experiencing before the drafting of a new constitutional text through the constitutional convention, he emphasizes that they have the duty of service and public vocation towards the community, so “ We believe that our sensitivity and voice should be represented in the Constitutional Convention, it is an ethical, academic and citizen imperative to contribute to the national debate at this time,” he stated.

Another great challenge for ASFAE is the holding of the “XXXVII National Meeting of Schools and Faculties of Administration of Chile” that will take place in Antofagasta thanks to the support of the Universidad Católica del Norte.

Regarding the re-election, Dean Luperfina Rojas Escobar thanked the trust to preside over a new period in the association, pointing out that “as ASFAE, we have assumed a firm commitment to strengthening scientific development and the generation of knowledge, mainly through ENEFA, so I want to reiterate that it is a great honor for us to be part of it, promoting the presentations, workshops and plenaries that, without a doubt, are weaving and deepening avant-garde, ethical and empathetic knowledge."

It should be noted that Dean Luperfina Rojas will be accompanied on the 2020-2022 ASFAE Board by Dean María Teresa Blanco of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, as first vice president, and Dean Juan Carlos Miranda Castillo , from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the Austral University, as second vice president.
