Representatives of the CAPIC 2020 Board of Directors and Scientific and Organizing Committees meet ahead of a new version of the annual conference

Within the framework of the XXXI version of the Permanent Academic Conference on Accounting Information, CAPIC 2020, last Friday, November 6, the general coordination meeting was held between the various actors that will make the realization of this initiative possible.

Under the motto “Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Report: The Relevance of Financial, Social and Environmental Accounting”, the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences of the University of La Serena organizes a new version of the Permanent Academic Information Conference Accounting, CAPIC 2020, to be held on the 18th, 19th and 20th of this month.

It is within this framework that the general coordination meeting was held last Friday, November 6, between the various actors that will make the realization of this initiative possible, in order to specify those details that lead to an optimal realization of the initiative. itself, where without a doubt contributing to the generation and socialization of knowledge in the area of ​​accounting and its related disciplines, is its main objective.

Representatives of the CAPIC Board of Directors, its Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee for this year met at this meeting. The President of the Organizing Committee, Mg., participated in this meeting. Christian Villegas, academic from the Faculty of Social, Business and Legal Sciences of the University of La Serena, who highlighted the importance of carrying out this initiative despite the pandemic that has currently hit the world and the country, referring to the inalienable commitment that the ULS has in promoting spaces for the dissemination and feedback of scientific knowledge.

Along with this, he made special emphasis that carrying out this initiative was never in question, since for both CAPIC and the University of La Serena, maintaining the continuity of this conference that brings together professionals from the most diverse areas, constitutes an fundamental task.

Thus, in the meeting held, and according to the minutes issued, aspects related to the organization and the challenges presented by the planning of CAPIC 2020 were reviewed, which highlights that this Conference is the first to be held in a completely virtual modality and which has had joint support from various areas of the institution and its academics, students and officials, all in order to ensure that this event meets the highest quality standards that both the University of La Serena and CAPIC have established. proposed.
