OSULS gave a special movie music to boys and girls back in the day

From Frozen to Toy Story, hundreds of families enjoyed the artistic proposal that was broadcast from the professional cast's Facebook LIVE.

'A movie streaming' took over social networks this Saturday, August 8, to reach the hearts of hundreds of homes, who enjoyed the captivating artistic and musical proposal organized by the University of La Serena Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the day in a big way. of boys and girls, along with a ranking of the best animated films of recent times.

The transmission of the III Chamber Music Concert from home brought to the collective memory the endearing stories of the characters of The Lion King with 'Lion King Medley'; Up: A high adventure - 'Married life'; 'Remember me', from the movie Coco; 'Let it go', from Frozen; the genie of Aladdin's lamp through 'Friend like me'; to culminate this special with the soundtrack of Toy Story with 'You're got a friend in me', by the OSULS string quartet led by concertmaster Leonardo Godoy Sepúlveda, Daniel Navea Rojas, Juan Pablo Luengo Ávalos and Ramiro Álvarez Maluenda on violin, Ricardo Muñoz Búrquez on viola and Monserrat Trujillo Peña on cello. Also present at the musical event was the brass quintet made up of corn player Gerson Pierotti, Cristian Monreal Cortés on 1st and 2nd trumpet and as guest musicians, Daniel Carmona on trombone and Herman Morales on tuba (PDI Symphonic Band).

The children's music special was viewed in different latitudes of the national territory, through the Facebook LIVE of the professional cast, where they expressed their gratitude and emotions for this unforgettable gift for the boys and girls in their day: “beautiful program, we loved it,” “Thank you very much for this nice gift”, “Beautiful! 'A movie streaming', like the rest of the concerts and activities carried out in this period, are part of 'A season like no other' in 2020 and due to the current health contingency it is carried out only online. , through the different OSULS digital media, thanks to the support and financing of the University of La Serena and the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, being part of the Network of Regional Professional Orchestras since 2016.
