UMD launches new virtual course aimed at school/career directors and career coordinators

The online course, which has the support of the Academic Vice-Rector and the Teaching Directorate, is in charge of the Curricular Management area of ​​the Unit and has a learning volume of 1 SCT.

Starting on Monday, August 03, the Teaching Improvement Unit, dependent on the Teaching Directorate, will begin the virtual course “Induction to Curriculum Management ULS 2020”.

According to the course program, the instance will allow the School/Career Directors and Career Coordinators to analyze the national political framework of Higher Education, the quality assurance mechanisms in the training of undergraduate and institutional regulations, for the management of the curriculum of the training program in pursuit of achieving the graduation profile.

With a duration of 27 total chronological hours, the course is aimed at strengthening the skills necessary to apply curricular management processes. The above will allow the participants to make decisions based on the monitoring and evaluation of the training process of their students.

The course, which will address topics associated with public and institutional policies related to curriculum management, includes audiovisual material and tools of the institution, such as the Curriculum Management module, for the development of its various activities.

Gerardo Galleguillos, in charge of the Teaching Improvement Unit, indicated that “it is important to highlight the asynchronous work of the Directors and Coordinators, since through our Moodle UMD they will be able to work according to their times and permanently count with the feedback of the Curriculum Management team of our UMD.”
