The publication developed at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of La Serena, in co-edition with the University of Giessen, Germany, has the mission of stimulating, disseminating and developing original scientific knowledge, generated by academics in the field of linguistics, philosophy and literature; as well as its countless points of contact.

Since June 30, issue 30 of Logos magazine (Vol. 30 No. 1 2020) has been online, which has established itself as a fundamental means of dissemination for the University of La Serena, which has promoted support for its scientific journals, through the Vice-Rector for Research and Postgraduate Studies.

The new issue has twelve original articles, one note and two reviews, written by renowned authors from national and international institutions.

The magazine is indexed in Scielo Chile, Erih Plus and, recently, in the prestigious Scopus database.

It should be noted that Logosis the only onemagazineindexed by the ULS and the only one associated with a university that appears in this index in the entire Coquimbo Region.

Dr. Omar Sabaj, editor of Logos, notes that “although the journal had been accepted in September 2019, indexing services had not started. Since the month of May, it is possible to find the contents of the first issue to be included in the database (2019), which contains a set of 26 original articles.”

Furthermore, it indicates that the inclusion of the articles of themagazinein the Elsevier publishing house allows these to be found in all the services offered, such as Sciendirectand Scival, as well as allowing traceability in the counting of citations.
