The purpose of the Fund is, precisely, to contribute to overcoming the socioeconomic effects of the pandemic.

With the purpose of providing students and their families with a new financing alternative for the 2020 fee, the University of La Serena decided to provide funds that partially or totally cover the semiannual or annual fee.

The alternative will be in force from today and throughout the academic year, in an important institutional effort to help overcome the socioeconomic difficulties derived from the current pandemic context.

El Internal Financing of the ULS Tariff It is aimed at all students who have lost tuition benefits, who do not have benefits or applied for them for the year 2020 via FUAS and who have currently changed their socioeconomic situation, and also for those who need to cover differences that occur. between your benefit coverage and your actual career fee.

The financing consists of the delivery of the University Credit Solidarity Fund up to 100% coverage of the semester or annual tuition fee for the degree for the current year.

The steps to complete the application process are as follows:

  1. Enter the Phoenix ULS platform
  2. Download application for Internal Tariff Financing, print and sign document
  3. Send scanned application via email to your Career Social Worker. If required, the Social Assistant will request supporting socioeconomic documentation to evaluate the request.

Once the application is completed by the student, the university will load the credit on the financial platform. In cases where financing is requested for both semesters, the credit will be charged in the 2nd semester once the student is a regular student.

At the end of the year, the student must sign a promissory note for this credit, in the terms and forms reported by the institution, the signing of this document being the last stage of the process of assigning the benefit for total or partial coverage of the current year's tariff.
