ULS launches new communication channel with informative summary in podcast format

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and confinement, DirCom ULS continues to innovate, this time, integrating a new communication channel into the institutional media system. These are #ULSPodcasts which, in a first stage, will broadcast a weekly summary of institutional news in audio format.

This week, the Strategic Communication Directorate of the University of La Serena added a new dissemination channel to its own institutional media ecosystem. This is a podcast channel (#ULSPodcast) available in userena.cl/podcast-uls and in the apps Ivoox y Spotify, which during its founding period will disseminate a news summary of the institutional work, in audio format, which can be listened to online and at any time.

Carola Espinoza, director of Strategic Communication (DirCom ULS) explained that “this is a professional commitment by the content development team, motivated by exploring the benefits of the podcast, a format that in Chile and the world is increasing in audiences. As strategic communication professionals, we are committed to keeping the ULS brand vital, a commitment that challenges us to be attentive to the new possibilities that communication offers, with its new channels, languages ​​and formats, incorporating what allows us to remain linked in a relevant and relevant to institutional audiences, especially internal ones, which are priorities in communication management.”

The news summary is prepared by professionals from the DirCom ULS Content Development team and will be promoted via email, among the university community, once a week, in addition to being shared on ULS social networks. The voices behind this initiative correspond to the journalists Gonzalo Lozano, Patricia Castro, Tomás Rodríguez and Claudia Farías.
