The second version and continuation of the first version of the Master in Computational Mechanics begins

magister mec comp

The postgraduate program is professional in nature and its objective is to train high-level specialists in the use of tools to solve problems in the field of Engineering.

The second version (2014) of the Master's program in Computational Mechanics at the University of La Serena began with great success, as well as the continuation, in its second year, of the first version (2013).

Professionals from different national companies and from different disciplines in the engineering area participate in this program. The postgraduate program is professional in nature and its objective is to train high-level specialists in the use of tools for solving problems in the field of Engineering, using finite numerical methods and computer simulations. Emphasis is placed on applications to the characterization of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and the design of equipment and processes. This in areas of mining, metalworking, energy, environment and food.

The teaching-learning process is developed with a face-to-face, theoretical and laboratory instruction methodology that includes a virtual class platform and an e-Learning platform as support, to accompany the participants synchronously and asynchronously. The program has a duration of 4 academic semesters and those responsible for its execution are the academics of the Department of Mechanical Engineering: engineer Dr. Mauricio Godoy Seura, (program director), engineer Dr. Carlos Garrido Soto and engineer Dr. Phd. Nelson Moraga Benavides (coordinators).
