The activities began on Monday the 21st and will continue until Wednesday the 30th of this month.

With various activities, the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences (FACSE) of the University of La Serena is celebrating its 14th Anniversary. The program has the participation of the 2 departments and the 6 schools that make up this macro-unit created on April 04, 2000.

With its launch, the 2 departments and 5 schools in the field of Social and Economic-administrative Sciences that already had an academic career at the ULS were incorporated. Starting in 2013, the nascent School of Law was annexed, which strengthened the wide variety of academic offerings of this Faculty. 

The Departments of Social Sciences and Economic and Business Sciences depend on this macrounit. The Schools of Auditing, Commercial Engineering, Pedagogy in History and Geography, Journalism, Engineering in Business Administration and Law also depend on it.

In postgraduate teaching, the FACSE now teaches its Master's degree ''Leadership, Strategic Management and Communication in Organizations'' in its fifth version. The Schools also maintain a proposal towards the community and its graduates in various diploma courses that allow them to update knowledge in a variety of disciplines.

The celebration activities began in the Multipurpose Room of the Enrique Molina Garmendia Campus last Monday with the presentation of the book ''El Acto Administrativo Tributario'', by Milenko Zurita Rojas, representative of the Internal Revenue Service (SII). 

Likewise, this Tuesday, the talk ''Contents and Scope of the New Digital Television Law'', organized jointly by the National Television Council and the School of Journalism, was held with a high audience attendance. 

Continuing with the program, four events will be held tomorrow, Friday, the first of them at 11:30 a.m., this is the Seminar on Criminal Law that will address the principle of legality of Criminal Policy, in addition to the challenges and proposals of Criminal Law contemporary. The meeting is being organized by the Law major in the Multipurpose Room of the Enrique Molina Garmendia Campus.

Later, at 15:00 p.m., the Conference will be held in the same room, which will focus on ''Universities of Argentina'' by the speaker Ricardo Coca, dean of the Faculty of Sciences. Social Sciences from the University of San Juan, Argentina.

At the same time, the Seminar Workshop for History and Geography Teachers will take place. The meeting to be held in room No. 118 of the Andrés Bello Campus includes the presentation of the book ''Making the City and Citizen Participation'' by Professor Carmen Varela. 

At 19:00 p.m. tomorrow, the 5th version of the Master in Leadership will also be launched, with the presentation of the Master Class by Professor Ricardo Coca, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of San Juan.

The activities to commemorate the 14th Anniversary of the FACSE will continue the following week on Tuesday, April 29, at 11:30 a.m., with the inauguration of the new computer and video equipment in the laboratories of the School of Journalism, in the Andrés Bello Campus.

This program ends with a camaraderie dinner, in which academic directors and officials participate.
