Team of the Integrated Management Unit of Pedagogies presents 2018 projections

Professionals and academics met at the ULS offices with the purpose of publicizing the progress made to date.

With the presence of institutional authorities, the team of the Integrated Management Unit of Pedagogies (UGIP) held a day of socialization of progress and projections of the Institutional Improvement Plan for Pedagogies and the Implementation Plan, in its third and second year of implementation respectively, which are executed and monitored by the Unit.

ugip2During the event, the Alternate Director, Dr. Fabián Araya, announced the core objectives of the UGIP, focused on improving the teacher training programs taught by the university. “Our policy this year will be to work within the institution and resolve everything that is pending. “This is an instance to validate the Unit, which plays an articulating role in pedagogical training,” he noted.

The people in charge who lead each subunit of the UGIP participated in the space, who presented the main milestones achieved to date and the tasks that remain to be accomplished. Among the actions, the start of the “I want to be an Education Professional” Program stood out; the signing of internship agreements with five municipalities in the region and the creation of internship systems in the rural context; carrying out various training sessions for teachers; the creation of the first work tables of the didactic area; and the development of five Applied Pedagogical Research projects.

According to what Dr. Araya expressed, among the future challenges it is expected to form a team that is related to pedagogy careers; maintain an institutional vision in relation to the University Development Plan; organize the physical space of the UGIP; achieve a closer link to the needs of pedagogy careers; delimit the lines of Applied Pedagogical Research and improve the number of publications; and finally, permanently reflect on the meaning and projection of the activities developed by the UGIP.

ugip3“We have to link ourselves to the needs of pedagogy careers, especially on the issue of accreditation. We must carry out the actions committed to with quality and efficiency, working jointly between all institutional units,” the Director emphasized.

Finally, the activity allowed both the institutional authorities and directors and the members who are part of the UGIP to share opinions and commitments, with the purpose of carrying out joint and collaborative work aimed at strengthening the eleven pedagogies taught by the University.
