Students were able to observe the application of production models.

The students of the “Operational Simulation” course, from the Industrial Civil Engineering career, taught by academic Oscar Contreras, made a technical visit to the Capel Process Plant, located on the way to Peralillo s/n.

During this visit, the group of students was received by engineer Francisco Hernández, who presented an explanatory talk about what the company is, its products and markets, as well as the challenges it faces. In addition, he offered a motivational talk about what is expected of recently graduated professionals, once they enter the job market.

Then there was a tour of the entire Process Plant, where the students were able to observe in the field how the production process is carried out in the production of alcohols and juices from the reception of the grapes to their packaging and palletizing.

“This important visit allows students to observe in reality the application of production models, ending with an analysis of said processes, in order to understand and seek the respective improvements that can be made by applying the theoretical concepts. "practical experiences seen in the classroom and laboratory based on the development of operational simulation models," explained the academic and Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering, who on behalf of the unit thanked the Capel company and its officials "for accepting this important visit to our students. Especially to the ing. Francisco Hernández for his kindness, cordiality and willingness.”
