ULS Tourism School is nominated for the Open Passport Award

The unit attached to the Faculty of Cs. Social and Economic, is nominated in the “Best Educational Proposal 2017” category.

The School of Tourism of the University of La Serena received important news this week, after the World Organization of Tourism Journalism reported the nomination of this unit for the Open Passport Award in the “Best Educational Proposal 2017” category. Through this recognition we seek to value the work of tourism journalists and collaborating organizations.

In this category the Carlos Septién School of Journalism - DF is nominated. Mexico, the ULS School of Tourism (Chile) and the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina through the Tourism, Heritage and School program.

Regarding this nomination, Mg. Andrés Álvarez, Director of the School of Tourism and the Business Administration Engineering degree with a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Administration, expressed that they are “proud of the work done together and during the next few weeks we will provide the commission with all the information regarding the work. carried out during all these years, in terms of innovation, entrepreneurship and tourism.”

The Open Passport event will take place on October 26 at the Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City.
